In 1988 Costley & Costley Hoteliers Limited was born. The founders and proprietors, Bill and Cath Costley, have worked relentlessly since this time to ensure the highest of standards achieved in each of our establishments are maintained at all times. In fact, our motto, as depicted on the entrance gates to our flagship hotel, Lochgreen House, reads 'Ad Virtutem Nitens', which translates as 'the pursuit of excellence'. It is this pursuit which underlies our daily endeavour to exceed the expectations of each of our guests.
Situated high on a hill, with panoramic views over Troon and the Ayrshire coastline, Highgrove House was the first property acquired by the Company and remains in the portfolio to this day.
Once Highgrove had established itself and was up and running smoothly, Lochgreen House in Troon was purchased. Built in 1905 and set amidst thirty acres of woodland adjacent to the fairways of Royal Troon Golf Course, Lochgreen House opened for business in 1991 and to this day is considered as the Company's flagship hotel.
Since the early days the Company has gone from strength to strength and now owns a variety of magnificent properties in addition to Highgrove House and Lochgreen House mentioned above. These include:
The Company also owns a number of other properties, however none of these are considered as part of the day to day trade of the business.
